If 100% of Israel's population were fully vaccinated, 100% of hospitalisations and deaths would be fully vaccinated. At the moment 80% of Israel's population is fully vaccinated. Can anyone guess where this train of thought is heading?

Wrong

Ourworldindata looks at the percentage in terms of total populations, which is as it should be unless the young still don't catch the virus at anywhere near the rate older people do.

Two weeks ago "Israel has among the world’s highest levels of vaccination for COVID-19, with 78% of those 12 and older fully vaccinated" (link)

Given that quite a few vaccinated people can become infected with the Delta strain, but are much less likely to become seriously ill, the main benefit will be to reduce the strain on country's hospital systems...

The double-vaccinated partner of a friend tested positive for Covid on LFT and PCR tests. While asymptomatic (at this point) both are now self-isolating. This is Scotland of course. If it was England then only the positively identified person would have to self-isolate and their partner or family members could still go to work or school etc. Bonkers!
