In other words, you have absolutely no critically robust scientific evidence either way, which means you're pulling your OPINION out of your ass. Thanks, that's what I was looking for.Animavore wrote:Sure, he could of been a time-traveller, but it was more likely he was another fraud like all the fucking rest of the so-called "healers".
Because the way a rational mind works is 'bullshit until proven true'. It's sort of like 'innocent until proven guilty'. If you choose to instead operate on the basis of 'true until proven false' you end up holding any number of opposing beliefs and making little actual progress towards what is true. If you choose 'agnostic until proven true', it's functionally the same as 'bullshit until proven true', but you usually tend to have less arguments with people as you're neither for or against a lot of their claims - a logical coward, so to speak.Seth wrote:In other words, you have absolutely no critically robust scientific evidence either way, which means you're pulling your OPINION out of your ass. No. I'm not pulling my opinion out of my ass. My opinion is based on experience and my doubt is justified. Or at least more justified than those who believe these miracles to be true without evidence (notice I never said it's definitely, 100% not true). Thanks for snipping the rest of my post where I explained thisSeth wrote:In other words, you have absolutely no critically robust scientific evidence either way, which means you're pulling your OPINION out of your ass. In Ireland just about every school is a Catholic school. It ain't like that over here.rEvolutionist wrote:I get a flutter every time I see the title of this thread in the "New Posts".I've always had a thing for young Catholic girls. They are usually so busting for it, after a life of oppression, they are a real turn on. And they are usually impeccably groomed, as they come from rich families. Alas, I'm too old for that shit now, but I rue not hitting on my friend's sister's 16 yr old friend at a party in my early twenties. I thought I was too old to be hitting on a 16 year old.
