I've only ever seen girls playing shinty. So of course it was mental.
For some reason, the boys didn't play it, when I was a kid, so I mistakenly thought it was a girls game.

The shinty authorities keep trying to get the men who play shinty to wear helmets, but most of them regard it as effeminate to do so. They'd rather swing fucking great sticks at each other's unprotected heads.
