You guys!
Trigger Warning!!!1! :
ROYAL AIR FORCE
1939-1945
VOLUME III
THE FIGHT IS WON
BY
HILARY St. GEORGE SAUNDERS
LONDON
HER MAJESTY'S STATIONERY OFFICE
1954
Page 23.

The casualties in killed and injured were not so high as at Hamburg, for big bunkers housing as many as 30,000 had been built in time, and were used. At no moment do the Berliners appear to have lost heart during their ordeal, and they continued to the end to exercise their caustic brand of humour at the expense of their defenders. The cafe wits maintained that flak was not 'a weapon, but an article of faith', and went on to tell the story of Göbbels' encounter one morning with Goring. Hitler, said the little doctor, had hanged himself.' There you are', replied the head of the Luftwaffe,' I always said we should win this war in the air'.

Okay, an easy one.

What future admiral and leader of the Navy circumnavigated the world onboard H.M.S. Worcester?

Fuck!!!!!!!!!! How did I not get that one? :banghead:

Actually, I had some notion that it had something to do with aerial warfare, but I was thinking along the lines of the area-bombing policy. :lay:

Nelson served on (one of) the Worcester(s) early in his career, but I don't know if he circumcised the world on her.

Was that a Freudian slip, or deliberate? It sounds like one of those stock "history bloopers".

Great. There's no google entry for that ship.

... Togo! You bastard!!!! :pissed:

EDIT: This page http://militaryhistory.about.com/od/naval/p/togo.htm says that although he was on Worcester in 1875, it was on Hampshire that he then did the circumnaviagation.

The date might fit Togo; I know he studied in England around that time...

Identify this ship. No clues.

... damn, getting this message:

The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 600 pixels wide and 1200 pixels high. The submitted image is 740 pixels wide and 414 pixels high.

but I've seen 'Zilla post attachments with larger dimensions. :dono:

Save it to disk and post as an attachment, I think the limit is only for [img] tags
