what's happening in this forum?

Post by Alan C » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:31 pm

Hello.

I'm another scruff from the RDF forums come in for a look-see. I only just cottoned on this morning to the issues at that forum and wondered what the bloody hell was up with all the rationalia avatars popping up. Being the clever chap I am I put two and two together a few days later, had some breakfast then looked it up.

In short, I don't like the change back there. I like discussion but I also appreciate the brilliantly silly and I'm not ashamed. I've treated all the forums I've been on more or less the same and that includes the judicious use of silly pictures, usually feline-inspired [I can post catz?].

I also like the learning I picked up there haunting the fundy-spanking sections so I hope for something similar here

Welcome, take a seat and tell someone at random to fuck off

It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

Don't worry Alan, I only cottoned on this morning too when I tried to post. I'll miss the fundies and the silliness too, luckily it seems that silliness is allowed here :td:

Yeah. But isn't it wonderful?

I'm liking the Chaos Engine avatar you've got. That game stole hundreds of hours of my life from me...and continues to do so. :ddpan:

It's actively encouraged and possibly mandatory. :whisper:

I'm feeling some deja vu
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

You can do pretty much what you want. There are some age restricted forums you need to ask permission to get into, just read the forum specific guidlines but anthing goes in the Pub while the Lounge is for more contemplative discussions. If you have a skill you can post about it in The Seminary or equally ask questions there without fear or ridicule. Onle a handful of warnings have ever been issues and most of those are in fun. Just Play Nice and don't get personal and you'll be fine.

Enjoy

Regards
Chris

And yes, I used to own an A500 .
Bitmap Bros were the shit, in fact Brit game programmers in general.
