It's another identity politics myth that Mexicans are "brown people." There are brown Mexicans, but there are brown Americans, Canadians, etc.

They're about as "brown"overall as the Spanish and the Portuguese.

Somehow, we've gotten to a point in the culture wars where Egyptians are black, and Mexicans and South Americans are brown, and Arabs aren't white anymore..... it's almost as if a movement has occurred to isolate white Europeans into a single "race" excluding other Caucasians and even Mediterraneans from the mix....

When you look at the ancient Egyptian art, they looked rather Greek or Sicilian - olive skin and dark hair, different shades of skin tone are depicted.
