Congressman Alleges Dep't of Justice Tapped House Phones

Post by Coito ergo sum » Thu May 16, 2013 1:16 pm

"No, I absolutely do not [trust the Department of Justice], especially after this wiretapping incident, essentially, of the House of Representative. I don’t think people are focusing on the right thing when they talk about going after the AP reporters. The big problem that I see is that they actually tapped right where I’m sitting right now, the Cloak Room,"[United States Representative] David Nunes respond.

Hewitt was surprised. "Wait a minute, this is news to me," he said.

"The Cloak Room in the House of Representatives," Nunes repeated.

He had nothing to do with it, of course. That much we are sure of, because, he's just the President and really has very little, if anything, to do with the Executive Branch of the US government. He's only responsible for the good things that happen.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews criticized President Obama for his mishandling of recent scandals, including the IRS targeting conservative groups.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: "He does run the IRS. He runs the Treasury Department. He runs the United States government, and he is accountable for it, and this is nonsensical." http://freebeacon.com/matthews-presiden ... -treasury/

Ya know, when I posted this topic first I at least had the decency to correct the spelling mistake.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

He's just the President! Who would ever think that he had anything to do with the use of the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service for political purposes which benefited him and his campaign directly? Who would ever think that there was the slightest possibility that he and his administration had anything to do with the Benghazi affair? It just strains credulity that anyone would even allude any such involvement, since we know that Obama has only the best of intentions at heart -- he would only ever do the right thing in the right manner, and would never, ever overreach.
