It's a lot more stable than it looks, and the more worthy states in it, the more stable it will be. Plus, the Lb Sterling is on the way down, who wants a third world currency serving only the interests of the City?

Yup, and crucially Scotlands GDP is approx £145 billion, Cyprus £14 billion. Scotland's economy is very diverse, even if it's always claimed it's just oil and whisky.

It does astonish me how many people want to claim Scotland is too wee, too poor, too stupid. And some of them are even Scots, sadly.
