Could you ask him to forward a copy to Scotland?
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

I'm just glad we got amused over the border before they closed it.

except for a contingency left to guard the US Texas border :funny:

If only they could have guarded the US Mexican border........ :thinks:
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

We don't want to secede from the United States and he is not our president so none of that applies. His words are of less relevance and value to the Scottish Independence debate, to me, than yours MM, so why don't you write us up a letter?

That's where it will be after the Mexican Army takes back the last they lost in 1848.

Yeah, I was happy to remove all traces of Texas from my car and driver's license. I'm looking forward to getting my permanent DC plates with the slogan "Taxation Without Representation" on them. :hehe:

I'm actually used to that anyway. Here's a map of my gerrymandered congressional district, designed by the Republican state legislature to intentionally disenfranchise Austin voters by combining just enough of the liberal parts of Austin with large enough parts of conservatives outside of Austin so we never had any influence. Our US representative refused to even meet with us.

Actually, the US will send social security anywhere, maybe not North Korea though.

Actually no reason (economically) why Texas could not be independent. Whether better off depends only on how the locals define "better".

To be honest I am amazed that secession is not a bigger thing in the US (or at the very least a demand for a new Settlement (a New Republic? - or a Confederation?! :hehe: ) - not for any anti Obama / Republican reasons - it's just that the US system itself is clearly broken (politically and economically) and can't be fixed (patched up and limping along bleeding slowly to death does not (IMO) count as "fixed" :fp: ).

I'd like to see Texas independent. Mexico would be bordering Oklahoma in not time.
