Some people over here would. They just recently approved chemical castration after a spate of particularly gruesome attacks on children. I don't know the recidivism rate on sex offenders, but I think it's pretty high. I'm OK with cutting the 'nads off of repeat offenders if they've proven to be resistent to therapies. Or if it's particularly gruesome, maybe after the first time.
Lawmakers Seek Physical Castration of Sex Offenders
Lawmaker Park In-suk of the ruling Saenuri Party on Wednesday proposed a bill authorizing physical castration of habitual sex offenders who are highly likely to reoffend.
The bill was signed by 19 lawmakers from the Saenuri and main opposition Democratic United parties.

Trouble is, chemical castration requires the castratee to keep taking the tablets. So, either they must attend daily clinic sessions, or they must be trusted to self-administer.
Cutting off the goolies is a lot easier and far more certain.

Chemical castration is temporary and depends on the offender taking the drugs. So that approach is fatally flawed.
Physical castration is worse. The problem is that you are dealing with a violent offender. Cut off his goolies and he will suddenly have a major source of violent anger against the world. A violent man suddenly gets even more violent and the innocent suffer.
Some people go for executions, but in the USA it costs 250% as much to execute a criminal as it does to imprison him for life, due to the recurrent and very expensive legal appeals and court cases. You could kill people wholesale like they do in China, but this inevitably means a whole bunch of innocent people get executed for crimes they never committed.
My personal view is that sex offenders who show no signs of ever reforming should be locked up for life. Simply removed from society so they cannot do any more harm. Release should not happen till they qualify for an old persons home, and their sex drive is so withered they cannot be a threat to anyone.
For every human action, there is a rationalisation and a reason. Only sometimes do they coincide.
