Your favourite albums of 2011.
Since it's fast approaching the year end apparently and since people like to sum up the year in such a manner and really because I've heard literally nothing from 2011 except that "Jagger" track and various unrecognised tracks used in between programmes on T.V.
Hit me with your favourite releases from this year will you? And if you could be so kind, tell me what genre you'd consider them if appropriate.
Cheers.

I've fallen behind with music myself this year but I really like Mastodon's The Hunter.

Forgot about this. Cheers Ani, thats exactly the thing I'm looking for. Y'see I didn't know Mastadon has a new one out because I've spent the last 8 months accidently getting right into Phish of all things.
Come on folks. Surely some of you must have recommendations for this year. Don't make me read Pitchfork. pleeeeeeassse?

Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues. My favorite track:
The Black Keys: Brothers, came out in 2010 but it remained on constant play this whole year. Just got the new one (Camino) but haven't had a chance to soak it up yet.
No. Don't worry, you'll be here forever (Debut EP):

I had gotten away from Country Music until your renewed my interest.
I listen to it all the time now.

I'm still trying to catch up to yesterday. I rarely listen to new music, but am grateful for the notes generated from your sharing.
