Bachman and the price of gas

Post by Svartalf » Tue Aug 30, 2011 11:13 pm

So I hear that she wants to slash gas price by almost half, back from $3.5 to $2 /gallon

what this article or other I fead were thin on is exactly what she intends to do to produce such a miracle as cheap gas in a world of ever more expensive oil.

anybody read or heard the right stuff and might happen to be knowing it?

Baby Jesus will turn her bullshit into crude oil.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Well, THAT would be a good reason not to messily slaughter all those bullshitting politicos.

I picture Fathers Ted and Dougal being shipped in to scream at a gas pump: "The power of Christ compels you!"

She waves her magick wand and the price goes down. Now I really hate Obama for not doing the same thing! :cranky:

And how long before this becomes an urban legend. "She could have done it, but Big Oil got together and stopped her by buying the White House for Obama's second term."

:wtf:

Google says $2 per US gallon = 0.32 UK£ per litre

Is that right?! 32 pence per litre!
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

I've seen gas at $0.17/gal here. In the '70s, admittedly.
