The way people behave in these sorts of negotiations make for textbook case studies in game theory (oddly enough). You'd have to be pretty stupid/obstinate in these situations to forego a huge pot of money just because you're not going to get quite as much as you'd want, or because you think the other guy is getting more than he should.

And yes, I know that's actually happened with some major sports. :what:
