Hey, wasn't sure where to post this thread so I'll just put it here
Over the last year I've studied Art and Design at college, and I fucking hated it. Fortunately I produced some satisfactory work though, I lacked motivation and enthusiasm through the course until last month when i was offered the opportunity to decide what I wanted to make. So here's a few pics
This is my class picture I look eerily alien because I didn't know how close I should have gotten to my mate and so the impression given is that I'm a random stranger who jumped in the photo lol. This has been the first academic year I have ever completed. Its supplied me with my first and only qualifcation. The people I've met have been awesome. The guy on the right of me is called Ed, he's a immigrant from Lithuania and the first foreigner I've actually had social interaction with. I suffice to say he's an awesome dude His dad is Russian which is awesome, but what's awesome is that he's an ex-Soviet soldier. Next to him is Gav, he has Cerebal Palsy--can't understand anything he's says but he's a laugh. I only learned of his condition the other day when he told me he had it, to which I inappropriately replied "Wicked!". I've never suffered such an unsaleable silence. Then the ladies at the back row are all my bitches! They beat me up sometimes but they're OK, except the one on the back far right who's possibly the campest gentleman I've ever met. He can quite literally talk about bum sex all day without considering the contorting faces of those around him. He's a laugh though. The lady on the far left on the back row was my tutor, possibly the fittest bird I've ever met. And the guy on the front row on the far right is the Liverpudlian, had a really dry sense of humour (he would nick Gavs electric wheel chair and ride around in it).
Anyway, that photo was taken at the end of the exhibition. Shortly after it, we all went into the town and got mashed. I've never seen a teacher wrecked before, we sat down and cussed certain students in my class lmao. My immigrant friend couldn't handle his vodka shots for shit, and had to be walked home. It was awesome. I'm using a pretty basic vocabulary in this thread, because there's no other fitting words other than 'awesome'

Awesome is most fitting.
Your class looks a great bunch and that hat suits you to a t. As for your work, I like the cheeky style and the strength of delivery.

Re: Some of my art work
I really hear what you say about not being inspired until you got the choice to do what you wanted. It was abit like that when I did A level art, jumping through fucking hoops to get anywhere and I just wanted to do what I wanted to do! Got an e anyway. Later I went on to do a 2yr BTEC in art and design and that was absolutely wicked (although there was a certain amount of loop jumping there too but the overall freedom of expression made it bearable). I like your style, Lozzer and I love humour in art (as well as dark stuff). Keep on trucking boyo!
Here's to Now.
