Does Yesterday Have Mass?

Post by Atheist-Lite » Wed Jul 13, 2011 7:11 pm

Today has mass and I can weigh things in the present to confirm their mass. But do things in the past have mass now? Does yesterday have mass?

If you were to go back in time and weight them, they would. But stuff only exists in the present :dunno:

Things in the past now exist in the present. So of course things in the past have mass now. Yesterdays Sun is today's Sun, so it still has most of the mass it had yesterday.

If the mass of the Sun today existed AS WELL AS it's mass yesterday, there would be an awful lot of mass about.

There is no past. Only matter and movement. Movement is what gives us time.
You don't move through time, like through a distance. So you don't leave anything behind, and there is nothing ahead. Only the present exists.

Movement has a property that we call time, that's all. And it seems to be a common property, shared by all forms of energy. So we can use the time that one thing takes to happen, to compare against any process we choose.

If it takes you an hour to travel to work, your clock will tick 3,600 times in the same period. You're really just comparing one bit of movement with another.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Time has no mass, because going to mass wastes time.
