Here's a hint,
When using Falcon Punch, make sure you're facing away from your target and as soon as you hit B point your analogue stick in the opposite direction and he'll turn around mid-punch.
IF it's SSBB.

I hate ranged characters in that game.

Ranged characters? I'm playing the story now, good fun. Enjoying the various characters and getting to know 'em. Favourites so far are Link, Pit, Samus and Cpt. Falcon.

Quick ranged characters like Falco - their attacks stun and have enough range to stop you from doing most of your decent attacks without having to jump like a tard.
I find that most of the time I'm having to Falcon kick from the sky, or I just get nailed by ranged and grabbed if I try to roll close.

Cpt. Falcon and Marth are my favourite characters.
Marth is a real bitch against any melee characters because he can counter.
In fact, everything except for Ness' PK Fire gets destroyed by his counter (except smash balls). The only reason Ness' attack gets him is because it turns in to that fire pillar thing.

Yeah Marth is badass :P I have to elaborate some decent strategies, though.

I don't have strategies, I just play and see what needs to be done.

Unfortunately on-line play is a two minute smackdown so I can't really practice there against players. They have set strategies and, for some reason, pick on me.

I think Paco has the game as well -

Good tactic with Bowser - use his across B when you're close to, facing, and there's an enemy between you and the ledge. You kill yourself, but you kill them first.
So long as you have the same lives/score as them, it's a guaranteed win.

What, do you push them off the ledge with you? I've found his *joystick down* + *B* thing to be really useful. Kills most small enemies with one hit, and the duels are easily winnable with that strategy.

Yeah, when he goes to slam them down under his fat ass stomach, there's only the edge of the map to greet them, so your opponent dies first. It used to be what kirby could do on SSBM when he sucked them in.

Unfortunately, Bowser is slow as hell.

If you jump he's a lot faster. Although it seems to me that he's as fast as anyone else, his steps are slower to compensate for his size.

Movement speed is irrelevant, it's his hit speed.

Zelda is a rigged character - her melee attacks have a decent range and they're stronger than most.

Bullocks.

If you know how to use snake properly, he's one of the most destructive characters against tabuu.
Same with Samus.

The only thing that pissed me off was that I could never find the Pokemon Trainer statue in the Dungeon, so I had ever character unlocked except him in single player.

PS - if you're too lazy to figure it out yourself, go on the net to find out how to unlock Wolf and, I think it's young link.

Yay, new characters :P It's cartoon link, I think.

Hmm, I never used Snake. Should probably start practicing... I was using Samus though and I kept getting owned!
