The 150 movie challenge (?) 2011

Post by The Curious Squid » Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:57 pm

Similar to the 50 book challenge,

anything over 45 mins counts

Documentaries count

TV shows don't count unless they are feature length episodes.

It would require watching one almost every day.

Think you can do it?

Me and Tommy end up watching up to 5 films a day sometimes so I think I'll be alright!

I think I could. It would be uneven. There's be days of watching 2-3 and others of watching none.

I have it worked out at 5.75 a week.

I would play if it were a 100 film challenge - but 300 in a year is way over my usual range. I would have to watch far too much complete crap to pad it out for one thing!

Should we reduce the number? 150 movies?

I came here expecting quotes like, "This is SPARTAAAA!!!!"

"We ain't a sharp species. We kill each other over arguments about what happens when you die, then fail to see the fucking irony in that."

I think I might be able to squeeze in 150 movies, no way I could even hope to do 300.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman
