It's a point, but the helmet is designed to rotate with the head so the eyes still work as they should. I imagine that there is a certain amount of "slippage" of a head within a veil.
I do love the French. I have NEVER had an issue with them and I would live in France at a moment's notice. Mais oui!

Why would she want to rotate her head? Mirrors! Checking over the shoulder! Looking left and right before pulling out of a junction! The muslim women do very well without bothering with any of that bollox.
