Jack Holborn and Silas

Do any of you remember these two kids programmes from the 1980s?

I absolutely loved them - the first had a sea-faring theme and the second ...erm...didn't. Both of them were made in Germany and enjoyed dreadful dubbing and they both starred a short-arsed kid by the name of Patrick Bach.

I loved watching them after breakfast during my school summer holidays in the mid-80s.

I don't recall either of them I'm afraid and you would have thought I would being the same age.

Did you watch Huckleberry Finn & His Friends?

I did, and I loved them - Tom Sawyer was a bit of a Kenneth Williams lookalike, while Huck looked like Paul Merton if I recall correctly. I loved the theme tune...

Sam Snyder and Ian Tracey (I never forgot his name.. he still acts you see him occassionally in stuff).

It reminds me of summer holidays.

I also LOVED rentaghost and that show was sooooo weird.. I don't know what the writers must have been on!

Didn't really watch any of the above. When I was a child if it wasn't a cartoon I wouldn't watch it.
