Got the new Tron up next. Never saw the first one, tho.I know what drinking games are, dingbat. And the Tron drinking game isn't at your link.

What's nonspecific about "Tron Drinking Game"?Gawdzilla wrote:You'rewas non-specific. And the Tron Drinking Game was created when VCRs were the size of refrigerators, so don't expect me to remember any details.
Anyhoo, Koreans have buttloads of drinking games that are centered around soju. Next time I come over, I'll bring a few bottles and hold a seminar.

I couldn't tell from that if you'd ever even heard of drinking games. As my reply clearly shows.FBM wrote:What's nonspecific about "Tron Drinking Game"?Gawdzilla wrote:You'rewas non-specific. Bronson. Didn't learn as much about the title character as I had hoped. Still didn't know what motivated him by the end of the film. Cool film, though, and unexpectedly funny.
Despicable Me. Utter rubbish. I love animated films and I love comedies, but this one fell flat. It just went through the motions, without the writers really understanding what funny and clever actually were. Every joke was obvious and telegraphed, dialogue hackneyed, every plot turn cliched. It was an interesting premise given a Hollywood schlock treatment. What could have been funny and fresh ended up tiresome and stale. No genuine originality here, just recycled bits of already recycled bits strewn together. Still, decent animation with some good design work. And I did cry at the end, even though I recognized I was being manipulated in the most transparent fashion.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Re: So.... Seen Any Good Movies Lately?
Inception. Meh. Too contrived, not very realistic even for a fantasy. Great cast (I particularly like Joseph Gordon-Levitt) given not an awful lot to do. Plot driven as opposed to character driven. Unfortunately, plot was really not all that clever and, to make matters worse, seemed amateurishly realized to my surprise. Not given any reason to give two shits about the characters. Bleh.
Harry Brown. Nice revenge tale with surprising depth and full of unexpected touches. Wonderful performances. Genuinely moving. Enough action to satisfy, enough substance in the film to stay satisfied.

I just finished watching "This is England" and now I need to watch a comedy
(It was very good, it just took me way out of my pre-existing happy space and I wasn't quite expecting something as heavy).
