44. Blade Runner - The Final Cut - one of my favouritest films EVAH! The first time I have seen this version - which is pretty damn good (as one might expect

) I have a limited edition box-set with every version ever made in it, including the rough-cut, pre-release version and a ton of documentaries (given to me by my mate Mike's widow, so it is something I will long treasure!) Will be working my way through them all over the next few weeks.

It was the director's cut and I liked it a lot more than the original release, so I figured one more star than I gave the original would be appropriate. Generally, I give 3 if I enjoyed it but probably won't want to watch it again anytime soon and 4 if I enjoyed it a lot and would watch it again. Maybe it should have just been a 3.5, but I really did enjoy the director's cut.

There's more back history about Sully at the beginning, a series of scenes dotted throughout that add a bit of depth to Weaver's character's relationship to the Na'avi and how they were treated prior to Sully's arrival, and just a few other scenes here and there that I can't remember. I watched it in 2D too, which I preferred a lot.
