Re: Prometheus
This was the only movie that got me back into a theater, primarily because it was Ridley Scott.
I won't be going to any movies for a while.
What a crock of shite.

Re: Prometheus
God fucking damn.
We spent a trillion dollars on this mission, and this motley crew is the best we could get?
I'm daddy's girl so we also included a safety raft that includes a specially programmed operating table that can fix anything, unless the plot needs it to malfunction because it doesn't work on girls. WTF???
I could go on...

Re: Prometheus
Heard the Skeptics Guide podcast dissection of the film the other day. They were all practically puce with fury about the scientific howlers.

True. The worse things are the plot, script and characterization. Apart from those things....it's not bad!Svartalf wrote:If only the scientific mistakes were the only reasons that mmovie is drek

"Their DNA is an exact match!"
Except, it can't. If it was, they would look exactly like (only one of) us. And they don't.

It was a deliberate slight, the nasty old man's dig at his nasty young daughter. She was the only one with enough horsepower to try to use it under normal circumstances and he wanted her to know that he had thought of her when he had it installed.amused wrote:A trillion fucking dollars, and they bought the model that left that out?Gawdzilla Sama wrote:The life boat wasn't for her, it was for Dad. Re: Prometheus
Which is all bullshit supposition after the fact. Probably an accurate description of their justification, but during the course of watching the story, it comes across as 'we need to introduce a problem here to make this scene more fucked up'. As if she could self-perform abdominal surgery and then go fight aliens 5 minutes later anyway...Gawdzilla Sama wrote:It was a deliberate slight, the nasty old man's dig at his nasty young daughter. Re: Prometheus
Sorry, but the folks that made the movie have been discussing. Don't call "bullshit" until you see the bull.
