"Hicks’ history with Trump makes her one of the more useful witnesses for Mueller as he looks for insights into the president’s habits and moods."

Habits and moods. Yes, Ms. Hicks, how often does Mr. Trump go to the men's room with a newspaper? And, is he usually in a good mood in the morning, or is he a "don't talk to me until I've had my coffee" kind of guy.

"She also is one of the few people well positioned to recount the president’s reactions at various moments as the Russia scandal has sidetracked his presidency..."

Ms. Hicks, what was the President's reaction when the memo came out accusing him of hiring hookers to piss on a bed in Moscow because Obama slept there?

"Oh, he was outraged, and pissed off. He said it was nonsense, and couldn't believe the dirty tricks. He was really mad. He cursed a lot. Yeah, I remember that. He said that Hillary Clinton could go fuck herself. Yeah."

"She’s been part of Donald Trump’s inner circle for years, first at Trump Tower and then as an omnipresent gatekeeper and fixer who could get emails or other communications directly to the boss during the 2016 campaign."

I mean, this article - it's just so fucking laughable. Politico. LOL. Ohhhhh....she's in the "inner circle" -- she's a "gatekeeper" and a "fixer." LOL. Ummmm dudes.... she worked for Ivanka Trump. She was a teenage model who got into public relations, and first worked as a consultant for Ivanka and Hicks was modeling for the online store. She didn't meet Donald Trump until 2015, and at that time he told her he was thinking about running for president and considered her for Press Secretary.

When the campaign started, she joined the campaign as press secretary, and her rule -- as a public relations person and as a press secretary - was to manage the media interactions with the campaign. Shocking! She must know all the dirt and grime that we just know exists there. After all, she was a 27 year old model-turned-public-relations person with no political connections of any kind. She worked for Trump, though, so we know she is a shady power-broker holding the reigns of some nefarious power with all the knowledge necessary to really hang Trump.

If anyone knows what Trump was up to, it's 20-something year old Hope Hicks. She held the keys, as gatekeeper. LOL. "Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team is preparing to interview the woman who’s seen it all: Hope Hicks." And as the article says, if you're interviewing the 29 year old public relations person and press secretary - you know they're on to something!

What a joke. Five will get you ten, I'll wager she knows nothing about anything to with Trump or the Trump campaign colluding with Russia. Does anyone in their right mind think Hope Hicks has personal knowledge of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia? LOL Oh, my god, if the media wanted to interview Trump, they gave Hope Hicks a ring and asked her to calendar it, and Hope Hicks managed communications and public relations for the campaign. So, she must know all about secret meetings and communications between the Trump camp and nefarious Russians to hack the DNC, steel their emails and commit other illegal and dirty tricks against poor, innocent Hillary.....

Does anyone take this shit seriously?

It's o.k. to have secret communications if you lose the election, but not if you win? Makes perfect sense.

Absolutely. An impeachment is unlike a criminal trial. Laws are secondary, intent has more meaning than in regular courts.

What ate you trying to say here? That Trump gets one free pass for every bad thing a political opponent does? That somebody may have acted shabbily has no bearing on a judgement on the shabby behaviour of others.

What do they mean "secret correspondence?" Does Donald Trump have to publish all of his correspondence? Is there something wrong with corresponding with Wikileaks, even about leaks?

There's nothing wrong with the clinton campaign hiring Fusion GPS, and there is nothing wrong with anyone communicating with Wikileaks.

Three was secret correspondence between CNN and the Clinton campaign. A secret agreement between the DNC and the Clinton campaign. So what?
Can you stop the charade?

Yes, but you can only be impeached for High Crimes and Misdemeanors of office. Speaking to Julian Assange and wikileaks about dirt they have on Hillary is not even morally wrong, much less a high crime or misdemeanor of office.

"Hey, here's a big box of documents called 'The Pentagon Papers' "

"Oh, thanks, we're going to publish them."

"Oh, but they were stolen from the government?"

"So, fuck you. I guess you should prosecute the person who has an obligation not to take or distribute them."

Supreme Court of the US: "Yeah, what he said."

Fast forward to 2017. "Hey, we just found out that Donald Trump talked to Julian Assange, and Julian told him that they had been given all these papers showing Hillary Clinton and John Podesta and the whole Democrat operation to slimy scumbags. Impeach him!"

No. I'm trying to say that the Clinton Campaign talking to Fusion GPS about dirt on Trump is NOT WRONG, and neither is Trump talking to Wikileaks. It's not even a "bad thing." If I had a stack of accurate dirt on Ted Cruz in my office, it wouldn't be wrong for Marco Rubio to have "secret communications" with me to see what I had and talk about getting his grimy mitts on the information.

That's not shabby behavior, and the notion that these were "secret communications" implies that people have to publicize their private communications with others. They're ALLOWED to have secret communications, and wikileaks is not obliged to talk to all campaigns equally or refrain from talking to campaigns. They are not obliged to withhold publishing dirt. They have every right to publish material, even if it's stolen and even if it was hacked. This isn't even a close argument. That's why it's so ludicrous, this whole bunch of garbage about fucking "secret communications." Fuck. 90% of everyone's communications in both the Hillary and Trump camps were "secret." They're private conversations. They don't have a government agency to report them to and they don't have to deliver all their emails and phone transcripts to the New York Times or Politico.

Certainly a possibility. After all, Hope was the "gatekeeper" to Trump, and the "fixer" in his "inner circle." She is the one that "has seen it all" in the Trump white house and campaign. If any investigation is getting to the level of Hope Hicks, they really are far along in this investigation as to get to Hope Hicks, that really means something serious is happening. So says the rock-solid reporting of Politico.

Come on, man. Fusion GPS wasn't working with the Russians; they were investigating others for working with the Russians.

So Wikileaks was a proxy. Does that absolve the Trump campaign of all guilt? I guess we'll find out in due course.

from Tero's article above:
Donald Trump Jr.’s private Twitter correspondence with WikiLeaks adds significant detail to the emerging picture of a political alliance between the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016. It provides evidence of criminal violations of federal campaign-finance rules, which prohibit foreign spending in U.S. elections.

The prohibition has a broad sweep. It disallows contributions, donations, or “anything of value” provided by a foreign national to sway an election. It also bars a campaign from offering “substantial assistance” to a foreign national engaged in spending on American races. Trump Jr.’s messages not only powerfully support the case that the Trump campaign violated these rules, but they also compound the campaign’s vulnerability to “aiding and abetting” liability under the general criminal laws for assisting a foreign national in violating this spending ban.
The law on aiding and abetting brings the point out in plain terms: As the fabled jurist Learned Hand once put it, the aider and abettor is one who “associate himself with the [illegal] venture, … participate in it as in something that he wishes to bring about, [and] seek by his action to make it succeed.” This seems to capture precisely the Trump campaign’s 2016 engagement with the WikiLeaks-Russian political partnership.

Trump Jr. dismissed his private Twitter messages as only a “whopping three responses” in a tweet Monday night. But, for legal purposes, just one or two would have been sufficient. Add them to the other contacts with Russia, as well as the president’s publicly stated support for WikiLeaks’ and Russia’s intervention, and the messages confirm that Trump Sr. and his presidential campaign face a “whopping” legal problem.
