Re: Discworld Day 2
Darn. If it's RC, at least I'll know I'm wrong about MZ.

Re: Discworld Day 2
You line up RC and Ksen against the wall. You suspect them both equally.
You roll a dice to decide, and it is very unlucky for Ksen, but his number comes up. RC takes his place back among the mob and smiles with relief.
Today's execution draws a bit of a crowd and I (CMOT Dibbler) am only too happy to vend sausages onnabun for 1/2 price, which is cutting me own throat.
Ksen stares down the sightlines of the crossbow from the dangerous side. Ah, danger. Ksen knows it all too well, and he's a bit allergic to it.
As the trigger is pulled, Ksen happens to sneeze a hearty ' achoo!' and pulls his head down. The crossbow bolt ricochets off the brick wall, careens across the crowd, narrowly misses RC's jugular vein, bounces off the forehead of a nearby troll, passes through a barrel of poisonous ooze, flips up against Johnson's Wheel of Decision, and plows directly into the eye socket of Irre, who promptly keels over and dies.
Irre was Carrot Ironfounderson, member of the NightWatch, but vanilla Town for our purposes.

K, I gather Irre was mod-killed because she can't play, being under the weather. Irre, hope you're feeling better soon.

What's this in reply to? Reads like it was supposed to be posted somewhere else.MattShizzle wrote:I deleted the message so I forget the char name but it was VT. Sort of like Conan the Barbarian but spelled different. And I think he's like old or something.
Feck, you never explained this.Linus wrote:Explain. The working assumption that there is a certain number of scum on a main BW would be pretty typical. However, in this particular case I think what I said in the post with color-coded vote counts should have made you update your reasoning somehow. Also, by your estimates there were 1 scum among 4 unknowns on the mantis BW, and 3 scum among a total of 11 unknowns from a townie POV. So your estimate of the proportion of scum in group you suggested we focus on wasn't even higher than the baseline.r.c wrote:To hide in the numbers may be or to start the bw. Initially I thought there would have been 2 scum in the bw but since Ob was Nk'd I think there is only one. Ok a lot of talk about me being fixated on Mantis bw. I feel that voting patterns are the biggest clue in trying to identify scum. That is the only tangible thing that I can work on. Trying to judge a player's alignment by gauging their response to questions is not something I'm good at.Feck wrote:RC you make the assumption that there are scum on the Mantis BW ..Why ?
Re: Discworld Night 2
It must either be part of ksen's role somehow or related to the night action he claims to have been the target of but refused to elaborate on.amok wrote:I don't understand what happened.
Re: Discworld Night 2
I'm somewhat confused about the decision made for the hammerdrop. Clearly rc and ksen were tied, there was a coinflip, and ksen lost making him the lynchee. Since irre isn't well and can't play Zigmen switched her in for the ksen lynch instead of finding a sub and lynching someone for losing a coin flip, is that right?Zigmen wrote:You line up RC and Ksen against the wall. That means ksen is town, doesn't it? If he were scum, Zigmen would have just looked for a sub and let ksen be killed. Otherwise as a GM I have a question of gaming ethics when this is over if ksen is scum.

Re: Discworld Night 2
I guess the decision Zigmen made makes sense given the situation, but it sucks to lose a special this early.

Re: Discworld Night 2
Every sensible townie should've had irre high among the towniest and ksen among the scummiest in their lists, so they were not really interchangeable.
irre flipped vanilla town.Gonzo wrote:I guess the decision Zigmen made makes sense given the situation, but it sucks to lose a special this early.
Re: Discworld Night 2
Yeah, she was. I thought she was a special because I'm reading while drowsy, but that makes more sense to me. Sorry to be so confused.
I thought irre's vote change late Day 1 made her scummy and thought she should have been pressured Day 2 for leading two bad bandwagons. ksen is scummy for few reasons, but seeing as that I was so off with irre I need to recalibrate. I must be looking at things the wrong way.

Re: Discworld Night 2
Has to be role related rather than mod killed.
Johnson's wheel of decision indicates Irre was taken out randomly in place of ksen.
In which case someone may have a lynch protect role, maybe ksen himself.
I've never seen a lynch protect role here. Only at Ratskep. I don't even know what it would be called.
