I took "You don't need to do that" to mean, "We can't legally tell you to do that."

Anyway, there's a vid over at HuffPo of Trayvon at the 7-11 shortly before his death. Not sure it really tells us anything other than 1) Trayvon was quite a bit bigger than the initial photos the press released led us to believe and 2) he's acting a little strange here.

Seems like everyone has their "OWN" interpretation of what exactly the dispatcher meant. But given the circumstances, I doubt it was said lightly.

If you follow someone you perceive to be a dangerous suspect, you call 911, they tell you not to follow him and you do anyway, you're taking the risk and whatever happens you brought it on yourself.

Oh, and trayvon had no cell phone on himself according to the full report. Funny how the police haven't arrested that lying girlfriend that claimed he was talking to her.

well maybe they didn't look for it. I don't think zimm told them martin was on the phone. And apparently the police didn't tape around off the crime scene for evidence. But I'm sure the cell phone records can prove that he was on the phone at that time and what number he was speaking with. I remember seeing a photo of the cell phone on the grass. I guess your selective memory decided that didn't happen.

The autopsy report listed everything trayvon had on him, the spot for cellphone was not checked. Maybe he did have one, but the cell phone box was left unchecked.

that's true, but he wasn't out there for a walk in the park. he was there for a purpose, and therefore should have followd some kind of procedure or rules, instead of acting upon his own "screwed" perception.

. which is not true, then you say the coroner didn't find any cell phone, which is pretty obvious that he wouldn't unless martin had it sown into his underwear.
