Yes, that is just silly. Who brought that up? Cookie, stop fooling around!

It was Adenosine who first suggested the overstatement tell, when I mentioned the no-PM game difference. I was subsequently applying his deduction to his own posts.

Cookie has done a fair amount of muddying the waters this game. I'm not sure whether that's just how he plays, or whether he's doing it deliberately (scummily).

hm okay. I guess I'm confused about who said what, but either way -- I does seem like a valid point. I know that I have said such things as scum

Ok... it was phrased as a question! I'll go along if we're all happy that it could simply mean you dreamt of an attack that didnt happen, or ssomething.

Honestly, I don't think saying things like "I'm just reading through the thread" is a scum tell. Again, there may be a Mafia cultural issue here. It's a very common thing to say on RS - just letting ppl know that you're here and what you're doing. It's because they're predominantly PM games, so everyone's always checking "Who's online" to see whether others are PMing a lot, or lurking around the thread but not posting. Plus we don't divide game threads into different days - it's all one long thread, so it takes a fair bit of faffing around, and letting others know what you're up to is standard.

You're going to have to do better than that.
Yes that was a bit naive wasn't it, but let's say it's a hunch based on voting on Day 1, a post that screamed "I'm so town I'm even totting up all the stats", a somehwat contrived-sounding banter with last night's lynchee, and your mysterious absense last night.
What mysterious absence? I'm in Australia.
Ignore me, I'm just here for the Mafia.

Just how I play unfortunately. I offered last night to hang back and just jump on the bandwagon when it came along, but then I was advised to participate more, even with a hunch if nothing more solid.

So, I've voiced my hunch about Adenosine this morning and I'll see where that goes. I raised the cat-people thing as a question to dispel a doubt of mine, but that's been dealt with to everyone's satisfaction, so I'm happy to leave it.

Bring on Day 3!

All I did was mention that I was adding up the Regent votes when I spotted some weird shit. It's you who are muddying the waters. And have all game I add. Are you pissed that I voted for your scum buddy first?

I should have added that I know you know all this, Mantis. I'm just elucidating for those who don't.

Neither do I. It's a bit more specific than that...

1. Adenosine jumped on me using that reason yesterday (because I mentioned no-PMs). That was a derail because the mention was explained away as a cultural thing, BUT that's not the point. The point is that Adenosine believed that saying things like "I'm just reading through the thread" IS a scum tell, or he wouldn't have accused me on that basis.

2. Adenosine then continues to make a post that absolutely screamed to me "I'M SO TOWN!", so I applied his logic on his own posts to deduce that he's scum. (A tad Iffy, I know, but there was more than that too...)

So what's with your absense last night? And why did you ask me "what absense" before, as if you don't know what I'm talking about?
