Re: David Cameron
Until an intellectual group arise (one of you lazy bastards start a political party!) I must say that Cameron appears to be the best man going. All I know is he is a very anti-benifit guy. All I know is my chain-smoking alcoholic friends use their EMA to fuel their addictions. Then they boast "I get £30 a week for going to school! You go to school for nothing! hahahah!" Well shits to them vote Cameron and they can earn money like the rest of us and will scrap EMA which fuels the next generation of criminals, alcoholics ect.

You can judge a man by the company he keeps. Cameron's Tories in the EU parliament are cosying up to Polish homophobes and Latvian fascists. Nuff said.

Screw over every student because you know some arseholes? You really are reactionary and snobbish enough to be a Tory.Mallardz wrote:Until an intellectual group arise (one of you lazy bastards start a political party!) I claim an Adult Learning Grant (EMA by another name), I'm not some petty chavvy wannabe criminal, nor is my 18-year-old house mate who is claiming EMA.
"Earn money like the rest of us"? Yeah some of us had jobs but because of the, and you may have noticed it being mention in the news, recession going on we lost them so we decided to be productive members of society and go back into full time education. £30 a week is a damn sight less than what you get in the dole queue, especially if you have to support yourself with it. To actually be paid less to do something more productive than watch Jeremy fucking Kyle every morning is a joke.

$30?
That's fucking nothing at all.
That's fucking nothing at all.

Re: David Cameron
As someone who is supposed to receive EMA I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, the state has failed to give me it for the last month. That's £120 I'm owe. Born Again is right, it is fuck all. But I need that fuck all in order to live. My household is barely scraping by, we have to make £500 mortgage payment each month and my maintenance only pays half. This is why the £30 is necessary, and though I've not got it yet, it would help.
If EMA is scrapped, so is my life.

Couldn't you get a part time job? Even six or seven hours on a Saturday - it's such a small amount to find.Lozzer wrote:If EMA is scrapped, so is my life.

I don't particularly think I could manage any job during my studies, though I want one. I'm considering writing a letter to my local Conservative club, presumably they have some silly little job going there.

I don't know if you've noticed this small fact Dev, but...Devogue wrote:Couldn't you get a part time job?..Lozzer wrote:If EMA is scrapped, so is my life.
...There aren't enough fucking jobs right now!!!!!

Re: David Cameron
True, but there's no harm in applying for a few or asking round - perhaps the odd shift in a bar on a Saturday night or something. I'm sure there are more part-time than full-time opportunities at the moment.Horwood Beer-Master wrote:I don't know if you've noticed this small fact Dev, but...Devogue wrote:Couldn't you get a part time job?..Lozzer wrote:If EMA is scrapped, so is my life.
