Given the stupidity of most Hollywood movies, maybe an occasional massacre of the audience would keep everybody on their toes. Don't be caught being slaughtered at a Michael Bay movie because what will they write in your obituary, for example.

Living next to a child molester wouldn't bother me much, here in Britain.
If the law doesn't lock them up for ever, then they have to live somewhere.
It's not likely that they would take me for a child.
Clearly child molestors should be required to live in retirement communities, where they won't be a threat to neighbors.

If the guy was posessed by a demon, then it's obviously not his fault.
All it needs is a good excorcist to shake some holy water on him, and he should be fine.
It's hardly fair to hold him responsible for what the demon did.

The law should allow for this.

Yes, they should exorcise the demon by pouring hot lead up his anus until the demon leaves, as indicated by his ceasing to scream, then set him free...or bury him and lament how tightly the demon had a grip on his soul.

Charles Napier, responds to complaints that British officials in India were not respecting the local custom of "suttee", ie the burning of widows:

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours"
