It isn't that Leia wasn't feminist enough, but about the film as a whole. You had a bunch of male characters to choose as your role model if you were a boy, but not so many female ones if you were a girl.

Now what is the context here? You have a wide trend where it is rare for two female characters to talk to each other about anything except men in films on one hand and some four cinemas in Sweden are drawing attention to the fact on the other.

Why rage at the second more than the first? Again, it ain't Leia, it's that she was THE female character.

The Bechdel test ain't perfect in every case, but it's a valid general indicator.

And the Manosphere rages as it always does. If it were 60 years ago, they'd be blaming their failures on dark skinned people getting equal rights. Well, the ones in the US at least would be.

I wasn't addressing you in particular my post, but the manosphere DOES sound a lot like the old cranky white folks who used to get all pissed of about black folks getting ahead in any way at all because that one is a thief and the other games the welfare system too well.

Ya know what, I agree with you that there are problems with modern feminism and the MRAs do have some points to make. However, getting all pissy that everyone else here is NOT in an uproar because of four Swedish art house theatres or A+ folks blocking people on Twitter doesn't make it look like you got any answers or are even really seeking them But maybe I'm tone policing you here and should stop.

I keep telling people here not to look to long at A+ and I'd like to tell feminists not to look too long at the manosphere.
