LuLz. That's the standard issue argument of the 1%. You know, the people that have inherited their family fortune and have never done a lick of work in their lives, the ones who ought to pay tax but don't.

The thing is they don't have to argue. They just put their money somewhere the government can't get hold of it.

Both poles of this debate are wrong. And the whole "1%" thing is also a convenient piece of sophistry. And there is no particular reason that people should think that there is something immoral about inheriting money. Neither is there any reason that inheritqnshiuld be taxed out of existence.

A problem with the policies that arise from that "1%" pole is that they don't just hit the hated "1%", but they hit anyone who has tried to be prudent and to save. Is it a good policy for the state to discourage saving?

You can adjust the height of your mower, but inevitably all blades of grass that reach that height will be cut. -Confucius or something.

Natural to kill the old declining order from the top down in a era of revolution. Are we not apes? Do we not find it easy to scapegoat the leaders when our circus runs short of puff? :coffee:

It's also the standard argument of the 50-90% who actually do work hard and save.
