To the contrary, it's part of the Taliban campaign to destabilize the Pakistani government, and pressure the Pakistanis into withdrawing support for the U.S. in Afghanistan. It makes perfect sense as part of the Taliban's greater strategy against the U.S.

The connection to bin Laden is just window dressing.
That may have a certain twisted logic, but it is a risky strategy. Both the Pakistan government and the Pakistani people could well become so revolted by the random slaughter that they actually step up the fight against the militant fundamentalists within...
...we hope.

Seeing moderate politicians get killed by muslim fanatics over the last year with little willingness of other officials to condemn the attacks is not a reassuring sign.

The Taliban are pretty despicable, too.
The sheer vengefulness and arrogance of Americans know no bounds.
From the heights of your paranoia you have a good view.

Do you mean those brave freedom fighters that kicked the Evil Russians out of Afghanistan ?
Regardless of who did it, the Russians deserved to get kicked out of Afghanistan, didn't they?

History has a certain push to it, dunnit? Think.

Strange, I thought the U.S. was supporting the mujahidin in their attempt to kick out the Soviets who had invaded their country. I must be wrong though, it's obviously Zionist Uhmurika's fault.

Nuke 'em from orbit, saves time and money.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

The radical Islamist terrorist networks are not Anti-American or Anti-Western other than as a subset of their "Anti-Everyone who does not agree with our ever narrowing increasingly psychotic interpretation of a rather odious book" The are not blowing up fellow Muslims they are blowing up infidels and if the occasion arises that they do accidently kill someone who agrees or supports their madness then that's good too since that person is now with Allah.

They are the worst type of human vermin and must be tackled and they must be differentiated from most Muslims in the same way that most people would differentiate the WBC from most Americans.
