A doctor protected the bad guy's hit. So that doctor would know one person who's innocent/independent. Given 2 independents are already out, how many more might there be.

Anyone who is voting for revenge based n the last game is likely to be evil and want me out of the game.
They know I'm innocent, as will be proved when I'm killed. Remember these words and look back at this thread to see who voted for me if and when I'm found to be innocent on death.

Wait up.. depending on the answer 95theses has for me, he might be innocent.Mantisdreamz wrote:Look! It's the same thing as last time in response to your response heyzeus -_-Animavore wrote:No reason.

Well, apparently the person he was protected was that Duke's son character (I can't remember his name - I only saw about 40 minutes of Dune last night). I'm not sure what his special power would be but it's likely he has one, otherwise I don't see a point in assigning a protector character.irreligionist wrote:The person Meph gave his life protecting couldn't be scum.. otherwise loyal Meph wouldn't have been protecting that person. Apparently not - "Mephistophiles was Jamis, a Fremen of Sietch Tabr who was assigned by Stilgar to protect Paul Atreides."virphen wrote:So, if I have things right, last night:

So it seems Meph was assigned to protect Paul Atreides (one of the good guys, and who, if we're going on the novel, may have special powers).
Seems very unlikely the doctor happened to protect the scum's first victim, doesn't it?? I wonder if we're missing something.A doctor protected the bad guy's hit. So that doctor would know one person who's innocent/independent. Given 2 independents are already out, how many more might there be.
Yup. Although I did ask Oblivion "...are there any scum who appear as town to me and vice versa (like the PI appearing "guilty" in the Mafia game, for example)" His response indicated there might be, so you're not entirely off the hook Virphen, but the chances of me investigating one of the innocents who appear guilty first up are quite low.CJ investigated me and found me innocent.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
rezling was Counter Hasimir Fenring, and was an independent serial killer who came to Arraikis in the service of Emperor Shaddam IV to weaken both sides of this conflict.
Mephistophiles was Jamis, a Fremen of Sietch Tabr who was assigned by Stilgar to protect Paul Atreides. He was loyal to the Atreides and to Stilgar. He gave his life in that protection last night.
rezling tried to kill Paul and Mephistophiles sacrificed himself and killed rezling in the process. Nobody was killed by Harkkoden last night. So the victim was likely protected, I would say. Unless the Harkkoden team is just asleep at the wheel.

How did Rezling go straight for Paul though? Seems like a lucky guess to pick one player out of twenty and hit a probable major character.heyzeus wrote:rezling was Counter Hasimir Fenring, and was an independent serial killer who came to Arraikis in the service of Emperor Shaddam IV to weaken both sides of this conflict.

I was wondering that. I mean if I was given an Indie task that meant I won by picking off one person I wouldn't go trying to pick a random on the first night.DP wrote:How did Rezling go straight for Paul though? How terribly convenient to use the last game as a reason to lynch an innocent this game without arousing suspicionheyzeus wrote:He was silent last game and he was guilty. Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
It's improbable but not impossible. Is there any other possible explanation? Maybe the serial killer knows who the players are? It's possible rezling tried to kill Paul and didn't understand his bodyguard's role.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
So either...heyzeus wrote:rezling tried to kill Paul and Mephistophiles sacrificed himself and killed rezling in the process. Nobody was killed by Harkkoden last night. So the victim was likely protected, I would say. Unless the Harkkoden team is just asleep at the wheel.
- Harkkonen team was alseep and didn't whack anyone, or...
- Their victim had protection, or...
- Their victim may have been either Rezling or Mephistophlies. (Not sure about the order of events... I saw it somewhere in a thread - need to check)
Is that a fair summary?

I suspect him too. Very quick to accuse me too but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt after saying he would expose his role if needed.95Theses wrote:How terribly convenient to use the last game as a reason to lynch an innocent this game without arousing suspicionheyzeus wrote:He was silent last game and he was guilty.
