Oddly enough, this offence does not appear to apply to heterosexual activity. :eddy:

The Anti-Homosexuality Bill of 2009

Post by maiforpeace » Wed Dec 09, 2009 6:01 am

Reuters reports legislation in Uganda that likely can become law.
The proposed bill will:

* Reaffirm the lifetime sentence currently provided upon conviction of homosexuality, and extends the definition from sexual activity to merely "touch[ing] another person with the intention of committing the act of homosexuality."

* Create a new category of "aggravated homosexuality" which provides for the death penalty for "repeat offenders" and for cases where the individual is HIV-positive.

* Criminalizes all speech and peaceful assembly for those who advocate on behalf of LGBT citizens in Uganda with fines and imprisonment of between five and seven years.

* Criminalizes the act of obtaining a same-sex marriage abroad with lifetime imprisonment.

* Adds a clause which forces friends or family members to report LGBT persons to police within 24-hours of learning about that individual's homosexuality or face fines or imprisonment of up to three years.

* Adds an extra-territorial and extradition provisions, allowing Uganda to prosecute LGBT Ugandans living abroad.

Fucking hypocritical cunts!
I heard some guy on the radio, ranting on about gays and the bible, then attacked the western nations allowing this evil sin to happen in our countries.

Isn't slavery condoned in the bible? I bet the twats would soon moan if the western countries brought back slavery, because it's in the bible.

There are just no words for how fucking evil this is.

The members of the government there should all literally be shot in the head.
And we should never send one cent of aid there. I don't know about you, but if I ever consider donating to a charity that does relief work, I would only do so if they can confirm to me that they WILL NOT spend any money, in whatever form, on relief there.
Just fucking disgusting. :nono:

Anti-Homosexual Bill In Uganda Causes Global Uproar

Post by Valden » Thu Mar 11, 2010 6:01 am

Standing onstage in black velvet robes, despite the stifling heat in the open-air church, Pastor Martin Ssempa's face is a mask of disgust.

Image

"Anal licking!," he shouts, directing the crowd's attention to the images of hardcore gay pornography that he's projecting via his laptop. "That is what they are doing in the privacy of their bedrooms."

"Everything having to do with eating of poop…heterosexuals do not eat poop," Ssempa said. "And if they do, they are misguided, they are not real heterosexuals. We don't practice, that's an abomination. It's like sex with a dog, sex with a cow; it's evil."

Read more here...
Pasting my reply from RS-
"Anal licking!," he shouts, directing the crowd's attention to the images of hardcore gay pornography that he's projecting via his laptop. "That is what they are doing in the privacy of their bedrooms."
Because there are no heterosexual couples that do "anal licking."
"Everything having to do with eating of poop…heterosexuals do not eat poop," Ssempa said. "And if they do, they are misguided, they are not real heterosexuals. We don't practice, that's an abomination. It's like sex with a dog, sex with a cow; it's evil."
Er... not many people are into eating poop. This includes both homosexuals and heterosexuals.
Also, anyone who is sexually attracted to the opposite sex (only) is a heterosexual.

This man needs to be educated.
The bill was introduced several months after a visit by several American evangelicals, who spoke at a conference called the "Seminar on Exposing the Homosexual Agenda."
This disgusts me. They know that would never ever pass in America, so they go to a less secular progressive country to spread their evil instead.
"These are good Christians; better Christians than there are here in the states," says Lively. "They care about each other. And I think the reason they're pushing so hard on this law is that they don't want to see what happened to our country happen over there."
You mean where homosexuals are not treated like dirt and are just as protected as everyone else?
Oh the humanity! Giving civil rights is just such a terrible thing!
He told the conference's audience, made up of teachers, social workers, and politicians that "even though the majority of homosexuals are not oriented towards young people, there's a significant number who are. And when they see a child from a broken home, it's like they have a flashing neon sign over their head."
This is pure bullshit. The majority of male pedophiles that go after male children are actually heterosexual. They just have easier access to little boys, and boys tend to have the bodies of little girls (not developed)
Lively, who is the president of Defend the Family, is also the author of a book called "The Pink Swastika", which argues that the Nazi Party was a homosexual movement.
.... The fuck?
"If you deny and reject the design of your own body," he told the conference, "and you engage in conduct that is self-evidentiary wrong and harmful to you, then you're going to receive in your body the penalty which is appropriate. Can anyone say AIDS?"
It's natural. It's not automatically harmful.
Not all homosexuals have aids, and it's heterosexual black women that have the highest rate.
Also at the seminar were two American men who claim gays and lesbians can be healed, including Caleb Brundidge, a minister who says he lived as a gay man for ten years.
The simple fact that they can get away with spreading harmful, possibly even deadly lies at this amazes me.
The bill also calls for seven years in prison for "attempt to commit homosexuality," five years for landlords who knowingly house gays, three years for anyone, including parents, who fail to hand gay children over to the police within 24 hours and the extradition of gay Ugandans living abroad.
Oh my fucking gawd.
Parents must hand over their own homosexual children?
The bill's sponsor, David Bahati, now insists the death penalty only applies to homosexual pedophiles.
Who are actually more likely to just be heterosexual.
"The whole thing has been distorted, " he said. "And we know that some copies of the bill have been circulated on the Internet, which are incorrect."
Nope, you're just trying to backpeddle because of how pissed off the citizens of not only your own country but across the world have become.
Bahati defends the bill's stringency. "Well it can sound tough to some people but it's acceptable to our community here. Remember that here in Uganda, 95 percent of our population does not support homosexuality."
If 95% of the population did not support giving girls names, would you make that a law too? :nono:
"But also we know that we live in a global family where in America they accept homosexuality as a human right. In Uganda we don't. In America, it is illegal to be a polygamist. Here in Uganda, it is cherished in some cultures. So that is the nature of the global family," he said.
Actually it's just not currently legal to be legally married to more then one person.
People can still be non-legally married to more then one person (correct me if I'm wrong on that) How would the state or government even know anyways?
We also don't execute polygamists just for being a polygamists.
"So things that are acceptable in some societies are not acceptable in others. But we have mutual respect. But this bill was proposed by Ugandans for Ugandans. We think it is good for us, we think it is good for Uganda."
I don't have mutual respect, and that bill was proposed by nasty American Fundies who as I said earlier, know that they could never get such a bill to pass in America because it would cause such a shit storm. So they go after an easier target.

Uganda.
"So those guys should be held accountable for what is happening to us," she said. "And I hope that the people in America can hold these guys accountable for what is going to happen to us if this bill ever passes."
I completely agree!
The American evangelicals who spoke at that event in Uganda back in March are now rushing to distance themselves from the bill.

"I do not agree with that bill at all," said Brundidge. "That's not why I went there at all."
Bullshit. What the hell did you think was going to happen?:nono:
"I'm proud of that, and I hope that the nuclear bomb spreads across the whole world, against the gay movement " he said. "Against this attempt to overthrow the family-based society and replace it with sexual anarchy. That's harmful to everyone. That doesn't mean I hate homosexuals. That doesn't mean I want everyone to be thrown in jail."
The "family-based" society will never be replaced, and there's more then one type of family.
I have the urge to kick a puppy now, thanks asshole.
And he repudiated the notion that he empowered the Ugandan parliament to introduce the legislation. "Do you think that these people did not already have an opinion, a strong opinion, on homosexuality?" he asked. "It's a very racist perspective. It's the colonial mind-set all over again."
You're the racist moron.
"It's offensive to me," said Ssempa. "It's offensive to me that every time a black man does something good, you have to say that a white man told us to do it. That's really offensive to me. We feel that even those Americans who came here, they are wimps. And they have been blamed for this law. They've all screamed no, we have nothing to do with it. Why don't we accept that Africans can make an anti-homosexuality law? Why do you have to blame somebody else?"
I don't give a damn if you find it offensive, as I don't care what the color of your skin or the color of the skin of the American's is. I place blame on both, thanks.

Reading this I'm reminded of the following:

Things like this Ugandan bill make me doubt humanity sometimes.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman

"Another aspect of the particulateness of the gene is that is does not grow senile; it is no more likely to die when it is a million years old than when it is only a hundred. Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
