Bullshit. If they wanted to give, then they could give. Nobody's stopping them. They just want to force others to give to certain projects and have pull in deciding what those projects are. What hypocritical cowards.

They're not evil as those of us on the other side of the wealth line like to call them, but they're not altruistic either - they're human like the rest of us. Humans with power, but similar desires and similar level of moral principle, and similar two-faced-ness. Maybe the extra power enables them to exercise those traits a little better than the rest of us, but there's very few people who would be altruistic, for no reward. In fact, I argue such altruism doesn't truly exist. Your stereotypical awsum donors A) gain extra power over whatever organisation they donated to (and political contacts as well) and/or B) look good before their friends and themselves, thereby gaining more power again. Actually, that applies to the uber-white upper middle class as well. God I hate those fuckers too, the snobby saving-the-earth-by-buying-organics soccer mom variety. Who sneer at you when you serve them at a grocery store because they assume you're some lowlife with no skills or intellect. And I;ll stop there, because that's a 3 day rant right there.... :pissed:
