Low crime around here and the age demographic isn't that bad, mainly white working class though. Now go to Nottingham and there is a difference in that wages pay more and ethnically diverse...and crime through the roof. I blame multi-culturalism....for making more haves and more have nots and not enough have about rights.

Less is more when there's a peace dividend, I'm happy with less far away from the modern Pompei. You can imagine though how the smarter will prosper playing ethnically diverse communities off against each other and this will lead to polarization in wealth, opportunity and even the appearance of intelligence. Yet the forcing dynamic of a rank competitor ethos like that requires piles of resources turning the larger modern cities into industrial vampires on a very fragile biosphere. The price of that kind of 'half-peace' is the life of the earth itself, hardly sustainable in the post peak oil world coming.
