Nice. Either the shape or size of the X and Y chromosomes is off, though - they're shown in the compact configuration with the length of the extended configuration.

Just showed some of this to the kids, then emailed them both the URL because I got dizzy again and they wanted to continue.

I expect to be left alone for the rest of the evening. :cheer: I need to write some study project related email anyway. :sadcheer:

The scale of the universe from the Planck length...

Post by normal » Wed Oct 31, 2012 10:47 am

... to the estimated size of the universe, all in one picture! (sort of)

This is the most amazing thing I have found on the internet this week, and it made me forget why I was so worried about work, and all the problems that I was facing.

I posted this a while back ... I'll see if I can find the original thread.

Always good to see it again though. 8-)

Wow. I missed it before, but I'm glad I caught it this time. Even on this little netbook it was mind-blowing... Thanks for that. I'm going to spread that one around.

I found the original thread, and have reported this thread for a possible merge.

Also, the link in my original OP is no longer working, so I've asked for that to be updated to the link normal posted above.
