Another area, "The Science in Science Fiction".
And "Religions in SciFi and Fantasy". (No preaching allowed.)
I'm just "jotting these down" right now.

Zilla.... there must be loads of forums out there dedicated to SciFi and Fantasy literature.
For information on ways to help support Rationalia financially, see our funding page.

Wait a second. Are you talking about a forum sub-heading here? Or an entirely new forum if its own? An entirely different place than Rationalia?
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Worst thing that ever happened to SciFi was when it got lumped-in with fantasy.

There's no clear line, and a lot of people like both. Star Wars has wizards, warriors and rocket ships.Horwood Beer-Master wrote:Worst thing that ever happened to SciFi was when it got lumped-in with fantasy.

Ooohh!! Me! Me!
I was steeped in sci-fi as a youngster. Not so much that "fantasy" thing they tack on to sci-fi sometimes, but classic, hard sci-fi.

I liked Lord of the Rings, but I never much got into the fantasy stuff much. I read the ERB Mars stuff, way back in the day. I recall reading the Sword of Shanara back in the 70's, but UKL wasn't my favorite.Gawdzilla wrote:Man-Kzin Wars.Coito ergo sum wrote:Ooohh!! Me! Me!

I have read the major biggies, I think. The last series I read that could be considered "fantasy" I think, would be Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality series. I really liked that. Very cool. If you haven't read it, I recommend it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarnatio ... mmortality
