They've got one or two newer ones (of the same old design). They could make it all the way across, if they can manage the problem of refuelling. Then again, maintenance of Iranian warships ain't exactly a gold standard. They might wind up adrift someplace.
Anyway, if they come across the pond, I think we should let them dock in Miami. I'd like to hear what the Iranian sailors think of South Beach.

It would be funny if they sailed over and the crews defected....

That's why I think a port visit would be so perfect. Iran's leaders would have to embarass themselves further by saying no, to the disappointment of most of the crews. And if they
did visit, it's a fair bet that a few sailors would not want to go back. Win-win.

About time. The Republicans have been on their knees for quite some time now...

C'mon, to show the full worth of their navy, they should take the Cape route... no israeli problem, no risk of Gibraltar blockade.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

You laugh now but then I look at how broke America is and how it has the largest prison population in the world. Iran is rightly showing that since America and Israel point weapons at them unprovoked, Iran damn hell has the right to do the same.

Sound principle out of context.
What is the intent of the parties concerned? Defense? Attack? Religious Genocide?

Iran's is defense. America and Israel's are for stealing and pillaging.

Right, maybe.
Ability, not so much.

To which countries do you refer?
