I just started playing Elden Ring and I've no idea what I'm doing. I'm dying quite a lot.
That's what you're supposed to be doing.

I'm at the final boss now, or second to the last boss, I think, and I'm unable to beat it just yet. It doesn't help, of course, that I don't know how to fight properly. For instance, I've got several hundred hours invested into the game and I only just now figured out that the Axe of Godfrey, my weapon of choice for quite some time, has a special move that you can perform by pressing L2 on the PS4 controller. And I only realized it because my mimic summons was performing it and I was like, "But you're the same as me. So how the fuck are you doing that...???"
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

“The Turkey Trot, Grizzly Bear and Other Naughty Diversions”

“Starting as if in the good old-fashioned Two-Step, the dancers suddenly let go hands, the man slipping behind his fair companion, there is a little step and a hop, something like a turkey might be expected to do, then a fresh grip around the waist of the young lady, the man snuggles up ever so closely behind her and they hop, skip and jump and half run along.”

I finally finished Avowed —it was difficult to pick up an rpg and finish it after months away. It was a slog. I’m sure it’s a great game, but still, a real slog.

Now I’m playing Citizen Sleeper. This is surprisingly engaging for something so close to a choose your own adventure book…
