AmeriKKKa
Re: AmeriKKKa
Right about my bias being a contributor? OK, it probably is.
I don't care to 'vet' his statement, because I would have to establish (how?) the intent of that AOC lady. I don't know her, so can't ask. If she said she lied, then I could agree that it was a lie, but liars (and non-liars) would deny they lied.
In other words, trying to attack his claim based on his 'proof' would be fruitless. If it was easy to prove Crowder was lying, AOC would probably take him down for libel (defamation?) . Why wouldn't she? He has one of the largest conservative entertainment shows in the world.

Re: AmeriKKKa
You ever hear of the First Amendment? You might not have because it's an American thing, but public figures have a high bar to clear in libel suits. Crowder can say what he likes, but unless AOC can prove actual malice, his speech is protected.Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 8:53 pmRight about my bias being a contributor? OK, it probably is.

As L'Emmerdeur pointed out the other day, that may change, but for now it's the law of the land.

I know the story 'a politician lied' is pretty overdone, but I enjoy his show. I especially liked hearing stories about his early experiences with Andrew Brietbart, and what happened between Andrew B. and Anthony Weiner.
Weiner would have been a top Democrat, and the media was vigorously ignoring a story about him, until Andrew fucked up decorum and Weiner.

You think Cruz tried to get her killed? Isn't that a crime? What was his crime?

Re: AmeriKKKa
It looks to me like Crowder is just carrying water for the Republican Party's attempt to sweep their encouragement of and complicity in Trump's coup attempt under the rug. Nice gig for him. He gets clicks from their fans, and he and his cheering section can yap about what a BIG SHOW he has.
Sneering at people for having entirely normal reactions to violence isn't just immoral, however. It also seems like it's not too smart, politically speaking. But Republicans have backed themselves into a corner, having decided that the best approach to the Capitol insurrection is to minimize it and refuse to hold Trump accountable for inciting the riot. Now every story about Capitol police being attacked or congressional staffers hiding in terror makes them look — correctly, mind you — like absolute monsters. No wonder they're scared of these stories, so scared they're reverting to sleazy tactics to silence anyone with a story to tell.

Well, I think my pointing out his (deniable) coded use of 'peaceful' (with my 'peaceful bowel movement' wish) was not 'excusing ' him.L'Emmerdeur wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 9:35 pmIt looks to me like Crowder is just carrying water for the Republican Party's attempt to sweep their encouragement of and complicity in Trump's coup attempt under the rug. I think his language was awful.
AOC doesn't strike me as any better.

It's a reasonable, if slightly exaggerated figure of speech, in the circumstances; not a wicked lie, as the right will say...Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 9:29 pm--a perfectly reasonable thing to say given Cruz's involvement, and nothing like the goonish nonsense about AOC using the attack on the Capitol to attention whore.I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.

Yeah, but when did she 'do s Cruz' exactly?Cunt wrote:I haven't heard a rush of politicians connected to the riots, accepting their roles in inciting the violent riots inspired by...who again?Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:19 pmCruz still hasn't accepted his role in inciting the violence at the Capitol. Did any politicians excuse the violence during the billions of dollars worth of rioting?
It's easy to point fingers, but a bit rarer to hear those attention-whores taking responsibility.

What "billions of dollars worth of rioting"?

Re: AmeriKKKa
I'm not sure how one could be confused about 'what rioting', unless they lived on a remote island, far from the US, and didn't watch the news...
https://www.axios.com/riots-cost-proper ... cea9c.html
The vandalism and looting following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police will cost the insurance industry more than any other violent demonstrations in recent history, Axios has learned.
Why it matters: The protests that took place in 140 U.S. cities this spring were mostly peaceful, but the arson, vandalism and looting that did occur will result in at least $1 billion to $2 billion of paid insurance claims — eclipsing the record set in Los Angeles in 1992 after the acquittal of the police officers who brutalized Rodney King.

Re: AmeriKKKa
Would you wish yourself a peaceful next bowel movement? Or 'mostly' peaceful, with over a billion dollars in insurance claims?
