I realised that but I would like to see where it came from. Is it part of an article?

Yes it was a mail, so I only copied the juicy bits. I must say they are getting a bit more sophisticated. This one originated from a Russian University, maybe picked up from a paper I authored, since the addy is sometimes attached to the abstract. The server normally boots them out.

Phishing mails these days are also almost impossible to separate from the real ones. It is usually the question being asked that is the give away or the dubious email address.

Getting back to the state of the UK, yesterday there were 60,916 new cases (a record) and 830 deaths. Pretty damn horrible...

Police chief calls for power of entry into homes of suspected lockdown breakers

West Midlands police commissioner calls for ‘useful tool’ to enforce new national lockdown measures


The government should toughen the lockdown by giving officers the right to force entry into homes of suspected law breakers, a policing leader has said.

David Jamieson, the police and crime commissioner for the West Midlands police, England’s second biggest force, said: “For the small minority of people who refuse entry to police officers and obstruct their work, the power of entry would seem to be a useful tool.

“I have raised this issue with the policing minister previously and clarity on the power of entry would help police officers enforce the new Covid regulations more easily.”

As the third lockdown comes into force in England at midnight on Wednesday, the rising infection rate is also causing increasing absences from the ranks of officers needed to help enforce the lockdown.

The police already have the power to enter your home if they think a crime is taking place - this just puts the legally enforceable Covid restrictions on the same footing. But it's not just the state that we have to worry about intruding on our home and private life...

What? man, I get tons of those that actually reach my mailbox and I have to send to spam manually, but I Usually can tell them without having to go into the body of the mail... declared sender, actual sending address, destination and object are enough to send them along in less than 1mn.... often much less.
