None in the Netherlands. It has the best healthcare.

Actually, there probably is a connection between deaths due to lack of health care in the US and coronavirus. I'm not sure how many deaths could be attributed to their malfunctioning health care system pre-covid (basically in poor, non-white areas), but 2 factors will almost certainly increase that number of non-covid deaths during this pandemic:

* articles have been written in Oz and elsewhere about the concern doctors have over patient's reluctance to go to clinics or hospitals to manage chronic conditions or to report other symptoms, due to various fears; it's likely this also applies in the US

* from all accounts, US hospitals are being swamped with covid cases, meaning there may be situations where there is simply no room for patients to be treated for other conditions.

To a degree, these factors will operate world-wide, but they will be exacerbated in counties with big coronavirus second waves and poorly designed health services...

Certainly a large part of your problem has been ignorance, denial and irrational resistance to health measures from a significant proportion of your general population, so you can count that as part of your "people problem" mantra...

I think we got to the Oklahoma tornado stage of the pandemic. They have people in Oklahoma not living in the safest of homes. Many have no basement, though they have a house, not a trailer. Anyway, with sirens going, people run indoors for cover. If they have run into the same house 20 years whenever a tornado warning siren sounds, they are now convinced that "my house is very safe, it has never been on the route of a tornado."
