He's the best kind of cured. The doctors have never seen anyone more bigly immunely cured.

I live in pestilence central now. 32 active cases in a small town of only 15,000 people.

Unfortunately I'm not sure how useful the data here is. My county is reporting ~2,000 active cases. But right next door we have ~20,000 active cases.

Life appears to be back to normal. If it weren't for the masks you'd never know there was a pandemic, much less that Houston is still under a stay at home advisory. There has been constant pressure to ignore this thing, so it's really no surprise.

Ask Trump for a Houston rally. That will stir things up.

Interesting. They can't open the packet that says who got what in a double blind study:

The data and safety monitoring board, or DSMB, convened late Monday to review the case. J&J said that in cases like this “it is not always immediately apparent” whether the participant who experienced an adverse event received a study treatment or a placebo.

Here in Victoria, daily deaths have declined a lot, but new case numbers are hovering stubbornly around 10 or 12 a day, making it less likely that restrictions will be eased a lot. This Sunday, the state government is going to announce some lifting of restrictions, but they may be relatively minor...

The lock down is how we got from a peak of 700 new cases per day down to the current figures, but yeah, it's time for some relaxation...

Here, they admitted the 'second wave' was on us (absurd since the epidemic never went away, just moved around).
and those freedum haters are talking about imposing curfews... daytime, people will work, those whose jobs are still there and able to function, and we will have to stay home at night, not seeing friends nor doing anything that could alleviate the stress of rona psychosis... I wish them to catch fleas from pestiferous rats, and typhus, cholera, yellow fever and ebola.

This second wave thing is a misnomer. Populations fluctuate. Just ask the rabbits.

Well, it was real in Victoria. We had brought the first wave down, when some incompetent processes let it escape again via people in hotel quarantine. It was not a random fluctuation, it was a clear surge, which has been only tamed by draconian and increasingly unpopular measures.
