Trump is playing this for everything politically he can get out of it. In one day he is feeling better and broadcasting? He does not have twitter. All this free coverage.

'I feel much better': Trump releases first video message from hospital room
President says next few days will be the ‘real test’ as he battles Covid-19

Donald Trump released a new video message on Saturday evening saying that he is “doing well”, his wife Melania is “doing very well” and the next few days will be the “real test” after he was taken to hospital with Covid-19.

“I came here, wasn’t feeling so well, I feel much better now. We’re working hard to get me all the way back,” Trump said from behind a desk in his suite at the Walter Reed hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.

The US president, looking pale, said: “I’ll be back, I think I’ll be back soon, and I look forward to finishing up the campaign the way it was started and the way we’ve been doing and the kind of numbers that we’ve been doing.”

The video countered some reports that Trump’s prognosis had worsened since he was admitted to the military hospital on Friday evening, several hours after he announced on Twitter that he and the first lady, Melania Trump, had contracted the virus.

Stephen Miller has tested positive for the Rona now. Oh dear. What a terrible, terrible shame. :tea:

There's currently more people infected with the Rona in the White House than in New Zealand.

Well personally I think these fine people should be applauded for creating ideal conditions to study the spread. Records will be there showing who met whom, how long they were in meetings and where they were sitting vis-a-vis the SSOTUS. This would allow for sophisticated modelling of a super-spreader event/s. Since these experimental subjects are known as to their habits in mask wearing and personal hygiene, those can be entered into the model. Co-morbidities, age, sex and medications are well known, social contacts can be traced and included.

I salute the brave members of this study, although I must express a certain sadness that the subjects will have to undergo vivisection at the end of the experiment.

It's strange how Republicans, who tend not to wear masks, are all getting infected, while the Dems who largely wear masks aren't getting infected. It's almost as if masks play a part in stopping the spread of the virus.

Trump spent up to half a million going a few days to hospital:
Taking two helicopter rides, as Mr. Trump did, could plausibly result in more than $40,000 in medical debt for patients without access to their own aircraft (though of course most people do not leave the hospital by helicopter).

Wisconsin is showing effects of ignoring pandemic, as proposed by Trump
As Trump resumes in-person campaigning with a White House event Saturday and a rally Monday in Florida — and with cases rising nationally to their highest level since August — Wisconsin has emerged as a cautionary tale for the rest of the country about what could be coming this fall and winter to places that let politics get in the way of commonsense precautions. Last month Trump held an outdoor rally in Mosinee that attracted thousands of people, most of whom were not wearing masks. Even as case counts soared, he planned to return for back-to-back rallies in Janesville and Green Bay earlier this month — plans that were scrapped only after the president himself tested positive for the virus.
