Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Drugs are unlikely to get far in a short time. Aids ended up with a coctail of drugs all targeted to different HIV targets.
Hepatitis C is treated with 2 drugs at the same time:

And that is pretty much the record of treated viral diseases. Other viruses are covered with vaccines so there is no patient pool to make money off of.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
The people protesting against anti virus measures in Germany and Austria have been hijacked by monarchists. They want to have the Kaiser back.

Well, those people won't be content with any cheese. They also want half of France and all of Poland which they think belong to the German Reich.

And half of the Czech Republic, aka the Sudetenland.

On one of my first business trips to Chermanny, I noticed a map in one of the offices showing Germany extending into Poland all the way to Danzig. I think it was shaded as "unter besatzung".

Coronavirus: fears UK government has lost control as Covid cases soar
Labour calls on Matt Hancock to explain reasons behind increase and testing centre problems
The UK has recorded a massive rise in the number of people testing positive for coronavirus, amid concerns the government has lost control of the epidemic just as people are returning to work and universities prepare to reopen.
Labour has demanded the health secretary, Matt Hancock, give an urgent statement to the House of Commons to explain the increase and why some people are still being told to drive hundreds of miles to have a test.
On Sunday almost 3,000 people in the UK tested positive for Covid-19, a 50% increase in a single day and the highest daily total since May.
“They’ve lost control of the virus,” said Prof Gabriel Scally, a former NHS regional director of public health for the south-west. “It’s no longer small outbreaks they can stamp on. It’s become endemic in our poorest communities and this is the result. It’s extraordinarily worrying when schools are opening and universities are going to be going back.”

They're not rising. You can't trust that data. That's what they want you to believe.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Well, yeah, there is really not much intrinsic or natural about any nation - or its borders. Germany did not even exist for centuries prior to 1871. All of a sudden its boundaries looked like this:

By that time Poland did not exist at all, having been progressively gobbled up by the Russian Tsar, the Austrian Kaiser and the Prussian König in a series of three partitions, starting in 1772. Between 1795 and 1918 there was no Polish nation, which contrasts with the Polish-Lithuanian Empire as it looked in 1619.
Nationalism and patriotism is one giant con* perpetrated on the vast mass of people by powerful elites. No matter which nation they are born in, ordinary people have much more in common with each other than the respective upper crusts on whose behalf they fight and die. It is only on rare occasions where they come to realise this, and then only briefly, such as during the impromptu cease fire in the trenches of the western front on the 25th of December 1914. The elites on both sides made bloody well sure to not let a repeat of that happen.
* Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. ...voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country. - Herman Göring
