That is satire, surely

Trump must want the German hairdressers to DIE.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 8:13 amHairdressers reopen in Germany. You can get that mop cut now Nineberry!
Structural, eh? Should give you a bunch of make-work with the most recent political upheaval.

They should all continue to shelter in place, no matter WHAT the orange dwarf says!
Hey, Tucker's just this guy, you know, a guy just tryin' to get along, feed his family, pay his bil...
An average isn't an absolute number.
Mathematics is eternal, but go on then - tell us what you found out.
The regulations aren't the same all over Germany and have never been. Healthcare is no responsibility of the federal government but of the individual states. Merkel has no power with regard to internal security and related topics. She can only coordinate and make sure needed resources are available. And make sure that economic losses of industries are addressed.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 3:01 pmHave you compared the US to a fairly comperable population density area? If we pull New York out of the US numbers, and pull out Germany's biggest city, how does that change the math?
Most of the US doesn't live as 'tight' as Germans. More room to spread out. I think it matters a lot.
You are desperate to get a haircut, great! Trump is insisting that economy will HAVE to open. Clearly you agree.
When, becomes the significant question, and in the US, it can't be one date. Things in Fargo are VERY different than things in New York City.
So again, Trump leaving it to the governers is like the EU leaving it to the German Leader, (as well as other areas 'governors', like for the other EU 'states')
The president of Tanzania is obviously no great fan of science. Given the buying and promtion of snake oil cures. Either this story is invented by him to calm down his population or (more likely) they just bought faulty tests from some overseas fraudster. (Or they have technological problems performing the tests correctly). There were a lot of cases of European countries buying masks or other medical equipment on the international market and then receiving garbage or fakes.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 3:01 pmWhat do you think of that Tanzania story, NB?
The president tested goats, pawpaw and other non-human things, returned the tests with human-sounding names, and many were positive.
My take on it is this: there are a (hopefully) predictable number of 'false-positives' in any testing. This President chose (or was led) to pull this 'fast one' which proves there is something...
To me, the 'something' is probably the usual 'false-positive' rate, with a scary story.
To others, the 'something' is a plot to convince Tanzania that this virus is present, dangerous and requiring attention.
Obviously, both could be wrong, but knowing what you know about testing, does either sound reasonable?
Are you imagining a world where this doesn't spread to everyone?
The tests were 'aid' of some sort, and aid has been a way of fucking over the economically disadvantaged for a long time, so I don't trust their (unnamed) aid source. The President obviously didn't either. The president of Tanzania is obviously no great fan of science. Given the buying and promtion of snake oil cures.
