Re: The Trump Pandemic
Foxnews propaganda working on so called independents (how can you be indpendent if you only watch Foxnews and Youtube?)
Americans give the president generally positive reviews for his handling of the situation, with 60% approving and 38% disapproving. Ninety-four percent of Republicans, 60% of independents and 27% of Democrats approve of his response.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late
Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan

The more you reduce infection the less steep the curve. It's a pretty basic concept.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:33 pmThat's not obvious to me.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:27 pmWell you might be on a trajectory more similar to say Australia or Canada instead of being on a steeper trajectory than both Italy and China.Sean Hayden wrote:...and if we just had a different President this wouldn't be happening.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Donald Trump is going to open the country by Easter, he said. Watch for in a week, "I never said that" or that he only hoped that, and it is still VERY SPECIAL for all the evangelicals to break the rule

Please spoiler that. Medieval tortures are not quite my thing first thing in the morning.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Cont. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archi ... xXw4Lz6CRsFor his entire adult life, and for his entire presidency, Donald Trump has created his own alternate reality, complete with his own alternate set of facts. He has shown himself to be erratic, impulsive, narcissistic, vindictive, cruel, mendacious, and devoid of empathy. None of that is new.
But we’re now entering the most dangerous phase of the Trump presidency. The pain and hardship that the United States is only beginning to experience stem from a crisis that the president is utterly unsuited to deal with, either intellectually or temperamentally. When things were going relatively well, the nation could more easily absorb the costs of Trump’s psychological and moral distortions and disfigurements. But those days are behind us. The coronavirus pandemic has created the conditions that can catalyze a destructive set of responses from an individual with Trump’s characterological defects and disordered personality.

Americans would be better served by leaders who recognize all our roles in stopping this thing.
Props to all the officials making unpopular decisions lately, to Texas for speeding up the opening and reopening of hospitals, to those with the means who are donating, and to everyone losing their shit on house arrest...

I'll try to put it into words you can understand:Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 4:49 pmI tried to anwer, but it's a shit question. Try asking it in a way that isn't shit, I'll be glad to try again.rainbow wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:33 amStop swerving and answer the question.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:10 amIs this the question you are waiting for?How does that make Trump less liable for this mess?
I don't know how to answer. He, like many leaders, fucked up things. I think the Chinese gov't fucked up first, and bigger, but it is still playing out.
The biggest story about Epstein is how disinterested the entire media seems to be about the Epstein story.
It's like the reverse of a conspiracy.
Trump is responsible for this situation. Bigly. He didn't take action when it would've been effective. He didn't order a shutdown, he didn't get the PPE and respirator supplies.
That was his job, not the Chinese President's job.
...so whatever other world leaders did has nothing to do with his liability.
Do you understand?

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late
