I'll just make my own.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

School holidays are over. Let the mass shootings in schools resume.

In order to facilitate the resumption the Boyert Shooting Center in Katy advertises a "Back to School Firearms Sale".

Nobody could have foreseen something like this.

'Ohio first graders find gun meant to prevent school violence in unlocked case'
Two first graders managed to remove a gun that was part of an Ohio school’s concealed carry program after the weapon was left unlocked in a plastic case.

The mishap occurred in March, but news of the security lapse just recently came to light, the Columbus Dispatch reported. The incident happened in an administrative office beside Highland Elementary School in South Bloomfield Township.

The elementary school is nearby the school district’s transportation office, where transportation director Vicky Nelson had left her pistol in an unlocked plastic case near her desk. Her grandson and another first grader, the daughter of assistant transportation director Christine Scaffidi, were left alone in the office while Nelson used the restroom.

When Scaffidi walked into the office, she found the gun out of its case and on the desk, with the children nearby.

“I’m assuming that the child picked up the gun from behind the desk and had been holding it,” Superintendent Dan Freund explained. Freund said that Nelson and Scaffidi notified him of the incident, although he didn’t speak to the children about it.

A Frenchman shows the right spirit, but the French are going to have to up their game if there's to be any chance of challenging the US's title.

'French waiter shot dead for being "too slow with sandwich", say witnesses'
A customer fatally shot a waiter at a pizzeria on the outskirts of Paris, apparently enraged at being made to wait for a sandwich, according to witnesses.

The waiter’s colleagues called police after he was shot in the shoulder with a handgun in the Noisy-le-Grand suburb, 15km east of Paris’s city centre on Friday night.

Attempts to revive the 28-year-old failed and he died at the scene.

The gunman, who a witness said lost his temper “as his sandwich wasn’t prepared quickly enough”, fled the scene.

Police have opened a murder investigation.

If only the waiter were carrying a Sigma or SD Series S&W. It's described as "an inexpensive, reliable pistol for home defense (sic) and personal protection".

Americans are fucking deranged. We used to worry about authoritarian states. Oh, those poor people having to carry their papers, never knowing when they might be approached...

Now they just accept random stops, searches; Christ, if he wasn't a youtuber they'd have been in his home.

Yep. They always say they're just doing their job. --sad

--//--
A former Houston police officer was hit with murder charges after allegedly lying to justify warrants for a January drug raid that killed two people and wounded five officers, prosecutors announced on Friday.
I've talked about this before and unfortunately most people just assume you're a criminal, or cynical, or full of shit. Well, these clowns are only getting caught because they murdered two people and got several of their peers shot. If they hadn't it would have just been another lie used to obtain a warrant to terrorize another US family. "Only criminals would shoot!" You're crazy, this is the US and this was a no-knock warrant. A lot of people are going to be shooting if someone kicks down their door.

Props to Houston though for not covering it up, and for promising to stop no-knock warrants.
