Many of us here want to see the coal industry steadily diminish. Realistically, one cannot ask for an immediate shutdown, and some will be needed for steel production for a fair time, but we want both domestic consumption and exports to fade away, replaced by renewables ASAP...

As to being a Marxist plot, it might be, but mainly, those promoting the 'save the earth' angle have been so wrong, so often, that it makes more sense to just live on the earth, than to try to save it.

Remember a few decades ago when we were going to run out of food? Then came Norman Borlaug. After that, we were going to run out of trees. We didn't.

As to the Church of Climate Change, it isn't about knowing what is going on, or what to do about it. It's much more about identifying, and calling out heretics.
