Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

I got enough guns, what I need is a 3D printable Hellfire missile.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Republicans= Trump= guns

The NRA has faced divisions before. An internal revolt at the 1977 meeting in Cincinnati turned the polite, sport-shooting organization into a bare-knuckled political lobby that today claims five million members and is closely aligned with the Republican Party, funding pro-gun politicians. The NRA, which spent $30 million to support Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, is often viewed by gun-control advocates as implacably opposed to tighter gun laws.

All the evidence needed that the solution to the problems caused by guns is more guns. :absurdsmiley:

Once in a while, simply given the number of guns around in the US, some gun owner will manage a "white knight" scenario. One can applaud the individual case, while being aware that the overall gun ownership issue leads to increased deaths in comparison to civilised worlds...

Yep the NRA thinks it is justified. More guns more safety. How fucking backward can you get. :ani:

depends on how many guns per capita you go, but technically and theoretically, an armed citizen is more able to ensure his own safety than a weaponless one. Plus, remember that as per US history, when people conquered their freedome from an oppressive colonial power by war, and where homesteaders and small town people had to be able to defend themselves from marauding indians and bandits... yeah, defending people's rights to own and carry ironmongery does make sense, even in these modern days when police and help are minutes away when trouble is only seconds from you.

Can never in a civilised society be justified.

There cannot be a civilised society unless the uncivilized elements are driven off and gotten rid of...
which is why I regret France is so restrictive on weapon possession, the criminals can still get them, it's the hapless citizen who's left defenseless.

And now I wait for Jimbo reminiscing about hunting rabbits with his .22 Ruger.
